WELCOME TO THE

LORD ROBERTS PAC WEBSITE

Upcoming Events:

Next PAC Meeting - Wednesday, October 11, 2017 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the Library.

A warm welcome to all parents for the 2017-18 year. As many returning families know, we have a new Principal (Allison Kerr) and a new Vice Principal (Doug Styles) this year. They have certainly hit the ground running with one of the largest number of students in Lord Roberts history. Getting used to a new staff and all new students is a big undertaking, but they are already implementing positive changes such as the Mindful Eating program. Let's all make the effort to show them a warm welcome, be patient as they ramp up, and be models for each other and our kids of what it looks like to be open to trying on new ways of doing things. We have been in dialogue with the new administration about improving communication between the school and parents since last June and are looking forward to working with them to implement many great new ideas to bring our community together. Be sure to attend our first general meeting on October 11th to find out more!

WHAT IS THE LORD ROBERTS PAC?

The Lord Roberts Parent Advisory Council (PAC) exists to contribute to the best possible educational experience for students at the school by promoting the involvement of parents and other community members. The Lord Roberts PAC is a non-profit organization.

WHAT DOES THE PAC DO?

* Advises the school principal and staff on parental views about school programs, policies and activities

* Promotes co-operation between the home and the school for the education of our children

* Assists parents in accessing the educational system and advocates on behalf of parents and students

* Organizes PAC Activities and Events

HOW CAN I HELP?

Get involved! Come to our meetings. Contribute your ideas. Volunteer!  This is your school, these are your children, and this is your PAC.  What issues should the PAC address?  What improvements would you like done around the school?  Please come to the meeting to share your thoughts or send us your ideas via e-mail.
